Classic Black and White Portraits
This approach seeks to capture the purest essence of the child — to convey and celebrate the uniqueness of each personality — freezing a moment in time and preserving it as a work of art.
I truly believe that portraits can reveal a child’s personality, and I find it deeply meaningful when parents look at a photograph and genuinely feel that connection. That is why I invite parents to collaborate with me, so we can work together toward the desired final result.
The session usually takes place in the client’s home, using only natural light. This creates a more comfortable and less intrusive environment for the child, allowing their true essence to emerge naturally and authentically.
During the session, the images are reviewed on the camera to ensure we have the photo. Afterwards, 4 or 5 carefully selected options are sent for you to choose from (in an online photo gallery).. The final image is always chosen by the family.
The price of the portraits varies depending on the size, frame, and number of portraits.
Printing on Hahnemühle Photo Barita paper; mounted on 5mm PVC.
Pigment inkjet printing using mineral pigments on acid-free alpha-cellulose paper.*
Frames options:
Oak wood box frame with a depth of 3.5 cm and a 2 cm front
or
Black Nilson aluminum box frame with a depth of 3.5 cm and a 0.5 cm front.

Size 50x70 cm
*The paper is of high quality and long-lasting durability (exposure tests have been carried out up to 120 years). However, proper care of the artwork is required. If it remains exposed to direct sunlight continuously for many years, the color may slightly change.
The prints and frames are handcrafted by Portuguese artisans, working in close collaboration with the photographer, who carefully oversees and supervises every stage of the process .
*The digital format is not provided under any circumstances. This is because the photographer personally oversees every stage of the process as a guarantee of quality and authenticity. By maintaining full control over printing and framing, the work is never reproduced on unsuitable paper or presented in inadequate frames. The final product is a carefully crafted, printed and professionally framed photograph, created according to the highest quality standards.
Payment is usually made as 50% at the first stage, and the remaining 50% upon delivery of the final work.

In the case of siblings, the first photograph is charged at 100%, and the following ones receive a 20% discount (applied to the full price).
